The First Doctor, played by William Hartnell, the original incarnation of the doctor, first appeared on screen in 1963. He was the first ally character in Doctor Who: Legacy to be introduced in the game's storyline before being introduced as a playable character. He plays a major part in the plot, explaining the Master's plan in the Season 6 epilogue levels.
